ioneer ND- DVR100 small dash camera is a useful driving tool that can monitor driver performance, and show speed, direction and other parameters that are crucial for driving safely. It is designed in such a way so as to facilitate unobtrusive mounting behind or next to the rear-view mirror. This design clearly integrates into the interior of the vehicle, without disturbing the driver’s view of the road. The mounting places the camera as high as possible to maximise the camera’s recording field of view. The camera can be easily removed from its mount if the recording has to be viewed and can be put back with the same ease.
WHY PIONEER DASHCAM
The installation and detachment of this unit is very easy. The camera begins recording when switched on and captures video clip files in a continuous loop on the included 8GB microSD card. The camera automatically deletes the oldest files to make space for the most recent video clips, thus enabling the camera to continue recording even when the memory card is full. Events can also be manually recorded. If the built-in G-sensor of the camera detects an impact incident, like a collision during motion or a bump while parked, that particular video file gets locked and stored in an Event folder to prevent from being overwritten and to provide later access to the video. The large aperture lens provides high quality recordings and still photos in daylight and low light. The 27.5 fps frame rate aids in accurately capturing LED traffic lights, mostly operating at 60Hz, that are especially helpful in the case of a traffic signal related videos. In addition to recording HD videos, the ND-DVR100 also has the capability to capture still images so that in the event of an accident, the driver can detach the camera and take detailed photographs from outside the vehicle. Using its built-in GPS receiver, it can also display and record the time and GPS position( latitude and longitude) directly onto the recorded video and still image files, along with the travelling speed.
MP4 video files and JPEG still image files are recorded on a microSD memory card (up to 32GB). The storage on the microSD memory card is split into four areas according to the type of recording – Continuous Video, Event Video File, Parking Mode Video, and Photo File. Videos clips can be viewed directly on the camera’s 2.0″ LCD screen when the car is safely parked. The microSD card can also be removed and inserted into a USB card-reader for playback on a computer or laptop.
