In a recent notice, the Air India notifies the flyers that Mac Book Pro is going to be prohibited while flying. So, if anyone has 15 inch laptop which has been bought between September 15 to February 2017, cannot check-in that in luggage or handbag system. This requested has been notified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

While tendering this notice the DGCA asked passengers to not to fly with 15 inch laptops of Mac Book Pro as they can cause security issues to the flying plane. The laptops was recalled by the Apple Inc recently as they may have battery overheating issues and can cause damages. This has been stated by the DGCA members.
During the June 2019, the Apple Inc has recalled the limited edition laptops which has been manufactured from September 2015 to February 2017. In the mention by apple, the laptops may have a faulty battery which may cause overheating sometimes. Apple already doing exchange the laptops to the users by free of cost after the June 2019. Also as per notice by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is aviation authority in USA also barred to checkin the same laptops in the US airports.
